PRAYER FOR THE BEWILDERED

How do we pray when we no longer know how to pray, and think everyone else is doing it better? What does prayer really mean to us? We will explore some ways of entering the stillness of heart from which prayer can take shape, and some approaches to help prayer become a living reality in our daily lives.

A 2-day live-in semi-directed retreat

During the retreat we will visit some familiar natural landscapes—the garden, the desert, the cave, the urban jungle, the seashore, and the forest and discover what they might have to teach us about our relationship with God (based on a book of the same title published by Lion Hudson, 2011).

We are living through times of unprecedented change and uncertainty. During this retreat we will explore some ways of finding solid ground upon which to base our lives, and of steering a course by a Christian compass. We will explore some practical tools for discernment, from the Ignatian spirituality tradition, as we reflect on where God’s Dream for creation is beckoning us in our personal lives and in our world.
